Psalm 9:1-5

"1I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

3When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

4For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

Bible Tip

Ok, so here it is the very first WordofTruth blog Bible Tip!!!

Did you know that every scripture in the bible is linked together or connected in the Spirit? Well it is! Just like the internet connecting links from one website to another, the scriptures in the bible are connected to each other!

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." -John 6:63

Some times you will often see a scripture from the bible quoted by itself. It is a very important meaningful scripture, but there is always a much deeper meaning than what we see at first glance. When we learn how to prayerfully look at the references associated with that scripture then we will be able to grow in a deeper way with God!

"Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you." -Proverbs 1:23

Here is a good example of two different scriptures that can work together to make a strong and meaningful point.:

"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." -Jeremiah 29:13 ...and:
" 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." -Hebrews 11:6

Do you see how both of these scriptures are linked? They are both encouraging us to look for God? He promises to reward us when we do! The reward is finding God!

New WordofTruth blog feature -announcement!

I am excited to announce a new feature of this blog. Starting tonight I will be adding a "Bible Tip" posting that will give a little tidbit that will help you understand something about the bible that will assist you in better understanding how to read it. This is a blessing from God for me to be able to provide you with this special information. I am happy to be able to do this because I know it will benefit some who struggle with their bible reading. Thank you to whoever prayed for me and this blog today! I can really feel that somebody prayed. You are such a faithful friend to pray for me. I know that God has true believers out there who really care about people, and take the time to pray. God is a faithful and true friend who hears and answers his beloved when they pray. It really makes a big impact and a difference in the lives of people when we think of others. Even the ones out there in blog land who we may not know. So thank you, whoever you are. Matthew 6:19-21

"19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." -Matthew 6:19-21

Matthew 6:24-34

" 24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." -Matthew 6:24-34
